It is optional, and stays optional
A dinner for twelve does not need a seating chart, and Eventrie will not create one to look thorough. You decide whether a dinner needs a seating chart.
The chart stays on your side
Only you see who’s in which room and car. Guests get the itinerary, not the chart.
A drop-out is one change, not a re-plan
Someone cancels four days out. Move them out and the bed is free — the plan updates for everyone at once instead of in seven separate replies.

How do I sort out who sleeps where on a group trip?
Add the beds you have and drag people into them before you travel. It’s sorted before anyone arrives, and it warns you when there are more people than beds.
Can I use it for cars as well as rooms?
Yes — beds, cars and tables are the same tool, because they are the same problem: a set of people and a set of places. A weekend usually needs the first two; a dinner usually needs the third.
Do I have to make a seating chart?
No. It is optional and stays optional. Most dinners do not need one, and Eventrie will not create one just to look thorough.
