Can I plan a single evening rather than a whole weekend?
Yes, and that’s the default. A graduation dinner is one date, one venue, a few hours. Eventrie starts you there and only offers extra days if you ask — you won’t be given a multi-day itinerary to delete.
Do I need a seating chart for a graduation dinner?
Only if the tables are assigned. It’s worth doing when the room mixes family, friends and colleagues who’ve never met, or when there’s a speech. For a buffet or a garden party, skip it — the tool is off by default and stays off until you turn it on.
How do I invite people who aren’t on the same apps?
One link, sent however you like — WhatsApp, Messages, email, read aloud over the phone. It opens in a browser with no account and no password. For anyone who replies by phone instead, you can enter their answer yourself, and the list shows it came from you rather than from them.
What’s a reasonable budget for a graduation dinner?
It depends entirely on the room and the city, so we won’t pretend a number. What helps is deciding early who’s paying — one person or everyone — because that changes what you book, not just how you record it. Set it before you invite anyone.
When should I book the venue for a graduation party?
As early as you can — graduation season runs roughly late May through mid-July, and Saturdays go first, so venues, tents, and food trucks book out fast in that window. Lock the date and venue in your Itinerary before you send invitations, not after.
How should I split the budget across food, decor, and everything else?
A common starting split is roughly a third to two-fifths on food and drink, a fifth to a quarter on decorations and supplies, and a small buffer held back for the things that come up. Set the total in Budget first, then track expenses against it as you book — the split is a starting point, not a rule.
