How do I collect allergy information from parents?
It’s part of the reply. When a family RSVPs they add each child’s age and anything they can’t eat, in their own words. You get one list, sorted, without sending a follow-up message to nine people. The allergies sit on your dashboard rather than buried in the guest list, because that’s the thing that goes wrong.
How many people should I invite to a first birthday?
Fewer than you think. A one-year-old’s tolerance is the limiting factor, not the room. Most first birthdays that go well are eight to twelve families, close relatives and the parents you actually see. The party is largely for the adults, and it’s easier to enjoy at that size.
How long should a first birthday party be?
Ninety minutes to two hours, planned around the nap rather than the clock. Put the cake and the photographs in the first half — by the end, the birthday child is usually done, and anything you saved for later won’t happen.
How do I get photos back from everyone?

How far in advance should I start planning a first birthday party?
About six weeks is enough for a first birthday — it is a shorter runway than a wedding or a milestone dinner. Pick the theme first in Design Studio, since it drives everything else (decor, cake, invitations), then send invites three to four weeks out so households have time to reply with RSVPs and dietary notes before the food order is locked in.
How much does a typical first birthday party cost?
Most land somewhere in the low hundreds to around five hundred dollars, depending on venue and catering — a home or park party costs far less than a rented space. Set a number in Budget early so decor and catering choices get made against a real ceiling, not guessed at after the fact.
