Privacy Policy

Eventrie ("we," "our," or "us") provides a shared planning app for bachelorette weekends, first birthdays, graduations, and similar celebrations. This policy explains what information we collect through our app and website, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
We collect information you and the people you invite provide directly:
- Account information: your email address and password when you create a host account.
- Guest information: names, phone numbers, email addresses, dietary restrictions, and RSVP responses — entered by the host or by guests responding to an invite.
- Vendor information: names, contact details, and Venmo handles that hosts add for vendors they're working with.
- Photos: images uploaded to an event's shared photo album by the host or invited guests.
- Planning content: itinerary details, budget and expense entries, notes, mood boards, and design ideas you create within an event.
- Device permissions: if granted, access to your photo library (to upload photos) and calendar (to add itinerary events — write-only, we never read your existing calendar).
How we use this information
We use the information above to:
- Operate the core features of the app — guest lists, itineraries, budgets, photo albums, and messaging between hosts and guests for a specific event.
- Let hosts and guests coordinate dietary needs, RSVPs, and logistics for their event.
- Maintain and secure your account and the events you're part of.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages help people plan — which guides get read, which questions get opened, which buttons get used. We look at this in aggregate. We are not trying to work out who you are.
It sets a cookie only if you agree. Until you answer the banner, and if you decline, Google Analytics runs without storage: we see that a page was viewed, and nothing that identifies you or links one visit to another. Declining costs you nothing on this site — no feature is withheld and nothing asks again on every page.
You can change your mind by clearing this site’s data in your browser, which forgets the answer and asks once more. We set no advertising cookies, we run no ad personalisation, and we do not sell or share this data.
The Eventrie app at app.eventrie.com is a separate matter: it uses one cookie to keep you signed in, which is required for the app to work at all and is not analytics.
Payments and third-party services
Eventrie does not process payments or store payment card information. When you use "Pay via Venmo" links to settle a budget expense, you're taken to Venmo directly and that transaction is governed by Venmo's own privacy policy. When you order prints of your event's photos, checkout is completed entirely on Shutterfly's site under Shutterfly's own privacy policy — we only pass along the photos you select to print.
Photos and other content you upload are stored with our cloud storage provider, used solely to host that content on your behalf.
Sharing within an event
Guest lists, itineraries, budgets, photo albums, and notes within an event are visible to the host and, depending on the feature, to guests invited to that specific event. We don't share event data with people outside that event.
Data retention and deletion
We retain event data for as long as the account and event exist. You can request deletion of your account and associated event data by contacting us using the information below.
Children's privacy
Eventrie is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do.
Contact us
If you have questions about this policy or want to request deletion of your data, send us a message and we’ll take care of it.
